There are so many resources available now with good scientific information but still the politicians don’t seem to be paying attention. Since before losing my son, Loren at 22 in an auto accident, I felt I was screaming into a void. No matter where I sought help, there was none. Sometimes I was described as a bad mom or blamed. People said marijuana use was a rite of passage. Others in the church school were using.
I am a Democrat, but almost all the Democrats in my state, MN voted to legalize marijuana, citing the needs of veterans and for severe pain and for social justice reasons. The bill, HF600 passed the House but will have difficulty in the Senate which is more Republican.
People in my current Jewish religious community are working for legalization. One of my personal advisors a PhD with considerable research background is for legalization.
Your presence makes a difference in my continued efforts to work to stop the movement to legalize.
